I don't think black men think it's that big of an issue because they tend to not value the black woman anymore. I also think the media does a horrible disservice presenting images (daily) which in term shapes the black men's ideas about beauty.
In turn, they seek out non-black women because the media has convinced them that european beauty is the standard of what is beautiful. It's sad because many educated brothers go for this okey doke and get themselves a nonblack woman.
Black women relationships with white men are different. White men doesn't devalue his white woman but he appreciates different forms of beauty. When a white man falls in love with a black woman, it's ginuine love. I say this because a lot of sisters (myself included) are often reluctant to date outside of our race (not the case with black men). Due to this, the black woman that falls for the white man, normally is attracted to his attitude, character, and values. The love isn't motivated by superficial reasons such as hair, skin color, etc as it is vice versa (white woman/black man). |

@Jahlove- That's true. However it's not a blaming game. MEN generally hold more power than women. Therefore it is the black man's responsibility to cherish and protect his woman. Black women have always been soooo strong in the face of oppression. There should come a time where the black man supports and love his woman unconditionally. WE haven't learned to do that yet. |
